Is That Really a MUSTANG?

Posted on October 23, 2015December 30, 2020

Most everyone who knew Mom, knows she loved Mustangs, cars – not horses. Although, she kept her license current, Mom never drove. But if she had drove, it would have been a mustang. As a matter of fact,  Daddy did get her a mustang (or was it more than one) which ended up getting passed to my siblings. Anyway at the hotel we stayed at in Hendersonville, we walked in and there was a car parked in the lobby. Yes, a car parked in the lobby. That’s right, it was a mustang.

At first on the day we arrived, I didn’t pay much attention to it. But the next day, when it was time to IMG_0962leave for the recording studio (and when I began to really miss her knowing she would have loved being there), I took notice. I’m pretty sure I even said out loud, “is that really a mustang?” A bright red mustang at that!

Ok, ok. I’m not a strong believer in things like this. But I do believe the Lord cares for His children and touches them in ways that are special just to them. (Psalm 35: 27)

And if that takes a red mustang parked in a hotel lobby, well…thats what has to be done!!!

“Sweet encouragement” my two words to describe this CD. God is so wonderful! So glad you “got it done” LOL. Praying God’s richest blessings upon you my sister in Christ!

Have I Got A Word For You… Munificence!

The Lord blesses me with so many things: adoption into His family, good health, resources, a loving family and friends who laugh at my jokes and can make me laugh. Even so, I know much of what He has given, I don’t fully comprehend. Some of the words the Bible uses to describe the Lord’s giving are “lavished”, “freely” “generously” and “abundantly”

Recommended by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, I was reading The Incomparable Christ by J. Oswald Sanders and came across a word that puts the openness of His giving into a nut shell – if that can even be done. MUNIFICENCE: willing to give and share unstintingly, bountiful, liberal, lavishly generous; great generosity

Don’t you just love it! The word sounds just like the meaning. The Lord’s gifts are not only magnificent (splendid or impressive in appearance, exalted; outstanding of its kind; excellent); they are also munificent.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us. (Ephesians 1:8)

Please, don’t get me started on “lavished”!!

There’s nothing like a good word or song to encourage us. The link below is to Andrae Crouch’s classic: We Need A Word from You. Take a listen.

We Need a Word From You by Andrae Crouch

Let’s Encourage Each Other

Sing A New (or old) Song

My prayer is that something on the website (the words or perhaps a link to a song) is an encouragement. I'll be honest - songs are such an encouragement to me. Through songs the Lord shows Himself faithful. I've heard that phrase much of my life. But the meaning is unfolding to me. Like an accordion, the meaning is unraveling as I've never imagined before. Is that happening for you too?

The steadfast love of the Lord is never ceases. His mercies never come to an end; they are NEW every morning.
(Lamentations 3:22)
Considering that, I want to sing a NEW song to Him. (Psalm 96:1)
Old or new, He's deserving of our songs and our daily praise: YOMPRAISE!

Don't you agree? I'd love to hear from you - whoever you are. If you'd like to leave a comment, please do.
